VPNBaron on Your Router
With VPNBaron on your router, every device on your network goes through the VPN, including consoles, smart TVs and other devices that can’t run a VPN app. You set it up once, on the router.
Pick your router
| Router | Protocol | Guide |

Check your router’s VPN settings for a VPN client (some routers only have a VPN server, which is for reaching your home network from outside).
- It has a WireGuard client: add the router as a device on the WireGuard page, download the file for a server, and import it on the router. WireGuard is the faster choice, and it’s light on the router’s processor.
- It has an OpenVPN client: download a file from the OpenVPN page and sign in with the VPN login shown there.
Good to know
- The router’s speed sets the limit. Encryption runs on the router’s processor, so older or cheaper routers may not reach your full internet speed, especially with OpenVPN.
- Stealth protocols don’t run on most routers. On networks that block VPNs, use the VPNBaron apps on your devices instead: they find a protocol that works.
- TVs have apps too. If it’s only the TV you want on the VPN, the Android TV and Apple TV apps are quicker to set up.
