Trojan Protocol on Mac (with Clash)

Trojan is a legacy protocol at VPNBaron

We keep Trojan for people who use Clash apps. It works on most networks, but it’s easier to detect than our stealth protocols, and a few networks block its port (8443). On networks that block VPNs, use the VPNBaron app or V2Box with your Stealth subscription instead. Why: Trojan vs VLESS Reality.

Mac setup guide

1. Install a Clash app

   Download ClashX, install it and open it. Clash Verge Rev is another option.

2. Get your Clash link

   Log in at vpnbaron.com and open Trojan (legacy).

3. Add the profile

   Click Open in Clash to add the profile in one step. If that does nothing, click Copy link, then click the Clash icon in the menu bar and go to Configs > Remote config > Manage.

   

   Click Add, paste your link into Url, name it VPNBaron and click OK.

   

4. Pick a location and connect

   Click the Clash icon in the menu bar, choose a location in the VPNBaron group, then click Set as system proxy.

5. Check the connection

   Open a website that shows your IP address. It should show the location you picked.

Troubleshooting

• Nothing loads: try another location. If none work, your network may block port 8443: use V2Box with your Stealth subscription instead.
• The remote config won’t update: copy a fresh link from the Trojan page and add it again, and check that your plan is active.
• Some apps still show your real IP: the system proxy only covers apps that use the macOS proxy settings, which includes most browsers. For everything else, use the VPNBaron app.
